France selects ThalesRaytheonSystems to supply its third Ground Master 400 3d air defense radar
 

The French defense procurement agency (DGA) has selected ThalesRaytheonSystems (TRS) to supply the French Air Force with a third Ground Master 406 radar for the Lyon Mont-Verdun airbase. U.S. and Europe work for an option to provide non-lethal military equipment to Syrian rebels
 

The United States and Europe may begin equipping the rebel Free Syrian Army (FSA) with vehicles, body armor, night vision gear and binoculars, as well as military training. The decision is expected after a key conference on Syria in Rome. The Obama administration is working with European allies on possibly giving non-lethal equipment to Syrian rebel fighters, U.S. and European officials said.

Russian airborne troops will be equipped soon with Tigr-M SPM-2 and Kamaz Typhoon armoured
 

The Russian Airborne Troops (RAT) will be mainly equipped with domestically-designed armored vehicles, including Tigr-M, RAT Commander Col. Gen. Vladimir Shamanov said. “Our brigade-level air assault units will have an armored car component based on Tigr vehicles,” Shamanov said at a news conference in RIA Novosti on Monday. “The deliveries of Tigr-M will start soon, and the first recipients of these vehicles will be special forces units.”

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) of Iranian army plans to test-fire an indigenous shoulder-launched weapon which can shoot down choppers in the ongoing wargames in Southeastern Iran. The IRGC Ground Force started massive wargames, codenamed Payambar-e Azam 8 (The Great Prophet 8), which include exercising different defense tactics, in Southern Iran on Saturday, February 23, 2013.

On 14th February in Warsaw, Bumar Sp. z o.o., together with other companies of the Polish defense industry set up a new main battle tank construction consortium. The goal of the consortium, according to the records, is performing research and development works and the implementation of “Universal Modular Tracked Platform in a Direct Support Vehicle/New Main Battle Tank version” to the production stage.

This twelve tonne armoured vehicle is intended to conduct patrols or raids in an extreme climatic environment. ACMAT has made use of over fifty years of experience in producing the legendary VLRA high endurance vehicle, designed for Special Forces or response units.
