India successfully test fires second supersonic BrahMos cruise missile
 

India Friday, March 30, 2012, testfired its second supersonic BrahMos cruise missile in two days off the coast of the eastern state of Odisha, sources said. The missile lifted off at 10 a.m. from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur, Orissa, from a truck. It reached its full range of 290 km at twice the speed of sound (2.8 Mach).

Army of Ukraine gets new automatic 30mm cannon on ZTM-1 turret for armoured vehicle
 

The Ukrainian army is taking delivery of a new automatic 30-mm cannon ZTM-1 developed by Ukrainian experts, the Defense Ministry said quoting a minister's order on Thursday, March 29, 2012. The ZTM-1 automatic cannons are designed to engage light armored infantry fighting vehicles, dismounted infantry and low-flying aircraft.

North Korea continues activities for the launching of missile on the Tongch'ang-ni launch pad
 

A new satellite image has captured increased activity on North Korea's launch pad as the country prepares for its controversial missile launch in mid-April. The DigitalGlobe image taken on March 28, 2012, shows trucks on the Tongch'ang-ni launch pad. Atop the umbilical tower, which sits beside where the assembled rocket will stand, a crane arm that will be used to lift the rocket stages has been swung wide.
