The French company CNIM Systèmes Industriels has been awarded a contract to equip the Polish Army with its latest generation of gap-crossing capabilities. On Wednesday 15th June, the signing ceremony of the contract between the Polish Armament Agency and CNIM Systèmes Industriels took place in Warsaw for the supply of several hundred meters of Motorized Floating Bridge.

General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) announced on June 29 that it has contracted with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) to deliver M3 amphibious bridge and ferry systems for the Swedish Army. In addition, GDELS will provide additional bays of the Improved Ribbon Bridge (IRB) system, which is already in service in Sweden.

Teledyne FLIR Defense, part of Teledyne Technologies Inc., announced on 23 June that it has entered into a framework agreement worth up to NOK 475 million (approximately $48 million) with the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency to deliver advanced Black Hornet nano unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The agreement is valid for four years but can be extended a year at a time for up to three additional years.

According to a tweet from BAE Systems on June 28, Slovakia has selected the CV90 MkIV as its new infantry fighting vehicle to replace its fleet of BVP-1 and BVP-2, which are a local production of Soviet-made BMP-1 and BMP-2 IFVs. Last May 27, Army Recognition reported that this vehicle was already the preferred candidate for this important tender.

The U.S. Army announced on June 28 the award of a $1.14 billion contract to General Dynamics Land Systems for the production and fielding of up to 96 Mobile Protected Firepower, or MPF, light combat vehicles dubbed "Griffin II". The award comes just days after the Army closed out the MPF middle-tier acquisition rapid-prototyping phase and transitioned to a major capability acquisition program with a favorable Milestone C decision — an incremental step in the Department of Defense’s acquisition process that moves into the production and deployment phase.

Inzpire Limited has signed a contract with the UK Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) to develop a prototype mixed reality deployable simulator. Over the next 9 months, the project – named SAGE (Synthetic Aviation Gunnery Equipment) by the company – will see Inzpire personnel working collaboratively with 22 Squadron Crew Served Weapons Instructors (CSWIs) and DASA personnel to deliver an air door gunnery simulator.

Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV) and French tyre manufacturer Michelin have entered into a mutual agreement on closer cooperation in the domains of defense vehicles mobility. In order to honour this next level of collaboration, RMMV and Michelin have officially signed the agreement at Michelin’s booth at Eurosatory 2022 exhibition in Paris. The companies were represented by Michael Wittlinger, Chief Executive Officer Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles, and Bénédicte De Bonnechose, Executive Vice President, Michelin Long-Distance and Urban Transportation, Europe Regions.

Jankel, a British world leader in the design, integration, manufacture, and support of high-specification defense systems, has signed a teaming agreement with the US defense company Oshkosh Defense to harness the joint capabilities and strengths of both companies for the UK defense market. The collaboration has been specifically formed to lead a UK-based team of subject matter experts that delivers the Oshkosh JLTV combat vehicle to meet crucial protected mobility requirements of the British Armed Forces.
