Iraqi security forces to progress in the fighting against militants of Islamic State of Iraq
 
Iraqi security forces – including the Kurdish peshmerga – have been making incremental progress against Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant terrorists inside Iraq, Pentagon Press Secretary Navy Rear Adm. John Kirby said today. In the past day and a half, Iraqi forces have made gains in many parts of the country, Kirby said at a Pentagon news conference.

TorTech Nano Fibers, a subsidiary of Plasan, announced on October 14 the installation of additional capacity for the manufacture of its nonwoven carbon nanotube (CNT) sheet at its manufacturing facility. This will more than triple output once full commissioning is completed in the next few months and is an important step towards a full scale industrial manufacturing capability.

Russia is likely to win a $197 million T-90 ammunition contract from India. In 2012, India took of 16,000 rounds of the same ammunition from Russia for its T-90 tanks. Indian Defence Research and Development has developed indigenous variant of the ammo but Ordnance Factory Board failed to produce it successfully.
