Description

Based on an unprecedented modular concept, the Cockerill 3000 Series is a single platform enabling guns of different calibers and their corresponding technological modules to be integrated onto the same turret: automatic 25 mm, 30 mm, 30/40 mm, 35 mm and 50 mm caliber guns, along with direct fire guns of 90 and 105 mm, which are also able to fire anti-tank missiles. Belgian Company John Cockerill has shown a project to integrate its 105mm 3000 Series Weapon System on Boxer 8x8 armored vehicle during the International Armored Vehicle Conference that was held in London, January 2020. In September 2020 at the HEMUS defense exhibition in  Bulgaria, John Cockerill and Nexter Systems have unveiled a VBCI 8x8 armored vehicle fitted with a Cockerill 3030 30mm cannon weapon station.

Description
The Cockerill 3000 Series is a unique weapon system from John Cockerill defense. Conceived to deliver unprecedented levels of value to the User, the Cockerill 3000 Series delivers cutting-edge day/night,stabilised, high-precision weapon system capability, in a single modular, common core platform that provides a single common heart to many products and variants, and can be readily configured and re-configured as necessary to role and operational demand. Its interchangeably accepts a wide range of weapon types and calibers, from 25mm automatic cannon to 105mm NATO-standard tank gun. Cockerill 3000 Series offer significant cost reductions and increases operational flexibility.
Modularity
The Cockerill 3000 Series is based on a single platform that allows the turret to be fitted with multiple guns caliber from 25mm up to 105mm NATO-standard with corresponding modules. The turret can also be fitted with missiles launcher. Thanks to its high modularity, the Cockerill 3000 Series allows a quick re-fitting of both crews and guns to be able to cover a wide array of missions and objectives on the battlefield. Its modularity also decrease its maintenance cost. Depending on the configuration, the turret can be integrated on a wheeled or tracked chassis weighing as low as 20 tonnes.
Accessories & Training
The "standard" form of the Cockerill 3000 Series provides full digital weapon stabilisation and digitalized fire control system to deliver very high target-hit chance. The turret also boast a thermal and day sights to provide 24-hour operation wether the vehicle is moving or static. The Cockerill 3000 Series can be protected with ballistic protection up to STANAG Level 5. The Cockerill 3000 Series benefit from the simulation solutions from John Cockerill under its Agueris branch which enable training and pratice on both virtual cockpits and embedded simulators. The 300 Series can also be fitted with a specially designed Anti-Tank Guided-Missile, the Falarick, which is gun-launched. The Falarick has a maximum range of 5,000km and is sight-guided until impact with the target.
