Czech Ministry of Defence plans to buy more small arms before 2014 as the CZ 805 BREN
 

Czech Ministry of Defence plans to buy approximately 10 thousand CZ 805 BREN attack rifles, 7 thousand CZ 75 PHANTOM pistols and 500 CZ SCORPION sub-machine guns during next several years. According to Colonel Pavel Bulant, Director of the Armaments Division of MoD, this quantity should cover needs of all elements of Czech armed forces.

Israel to deploy two additional Iron Dome defence missile systems early next year
 

The Israel Air Force (IAF) is expected to deploy two additional Iron Dome missile-defense batteries early next year, The Jerusalem Post reported Sunday, July 29, 2012. Colt Defense LLC has been awarded an Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity contract by the U.S. Marine Corps for up to 12,000 M45 Close Quarter Battle Pistols (CQBP), plus spares and logistical support. The new CQBP is a direct descendant of the iconic Colt M1911 adopted by the U.S. military in 1911 and carried as the primary sidearm through all the major conflicts of the 20th century.
