This acquisition is part of a collaborative effort involving United24 and Monobank. The drones, featuring thermal imaging optics and purchased under "Operation Unity 2: New Year's Salute," are poised for deployment to military units.

The foundation highlighted that the initial drones from this consignment are en route to the battlefield, aimed at targeting Russian military assets, fortifications, and personnel. These drones are capable of flights spanning 12 to 20 km, carrying payloads up to 4 kg. The procurement also includes ammunition specifically for these drones. A notable capability of these 3,000 FPV drones is their thermal imaging optics, enhancing their effectiveness in night operations, as per the foundation's statements.

It's noteworthy that a fundraising campaign initiated last December for "Operation Unity 2: New Year's fireworks" amassed over 226 million hryvnias (EUR 5.33 Mn) within three days, funding the purchase of 5,000 FPV kamikaze drones—3,000 equipped for nighttime and 2,000 for daytime operations. These thermal imaging-equipped drones will bolster the Ukrainian forces' ability to conduct night-time missions and neutralize enemy forces and equipment under various conditions.

The first installment of 2,020 daytime drones from this partnership was delivered in January 2024. The FPV drone models and their corresponding ammunition have been coordinated with the Ukrainian military, with standardized UAV components being produced domestically.
