On June 10, 2022, the Army Recognition editorial team reported that the Ukrainian has deployed its new local-made Bureviy, an MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) fully developed and designed by the Ukrainian Defense Industry.

The Bureviy is a Ukrainian-made MLRS that was developed to provide a modernized version of the Soviet-made BM-27 Uragan, a 220mm rocket launcher that is in service with the Ukrainian army. This artillery system was unveiled in 2020. The first version of the Bureviy was based on a Tatra T815-7T3RC1 truck chassis manufactured by the Czech company Tatra.

According to the analysis of the Army Recognition editorial team, now, the Bureviy MLRS displayed in the video is based on the T 815–7T3RC1 8×8.1R truck chassis but fitted with a four doors armored cabin developed in collaboration with the Israeli company Plasan.

Citing information from the Internet, the armored cab of the Bureviy MLRS was developed by the Israeli company Plasan, which designed high-level armor solutions for combat vehicles. The new armor cabin of the Ukrainian-made Bureviy MLRS provides ballistic protection STANAG 4569 Level against the firing of small arms 7.62×39mm API BZ (Armor Piercing Incendiary) caliber as well as mine protection STANAG 4569 Level 3a/3b blast explosion of 8 kg of TNT under the wheels and floor of the cabin.

The TATRA truck of the Bureviy MLRS is motorized with an air-cooled, V-type, 4-stroke, turbocharged, charge air-cooled, direct injection Diesel engine coupled to a manual 14-speed transmission with a semi-automatic split with 14 forward and 2 reverse gears. The truck can run at a maximum road speed of 105 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 700 km.

The design of the Bureviy MLRS consists of two main parts with the crew cabin at the front and the rocket launcher weapon station mounted at the rear of the truck. The vehicle has a crew of five and is fitted with a launcher pod that is similar to the Soviet-made BM-27 Uragan.

The Bureviy MLRS is equipped with a new digital fire control system, including an information exchange system on the battlefield. The rocket launcher vehicle has a firing range from 35 to 65 km, which is superior to the range of the Russian BM-27 which has a maximum firing range of 40 km. it can fire all the standard soviet-made 220mm unguided rockets.
