The Husky is a protected highly mobile tactical support vehicle, based on the International MXT-MVA made by the American company Navistar Defense. This vehicle was ordered by the British Army in 2009, for the mission in Afghanistan.

The Husky was ordered to replace the British Army's Snatch Land Rovers in Afghanistan, which had proven to be inadequate in protecting their occupants from improvised explosive devices. A total of 262 vehicles were initially ordered. In 2010, a follow-up order was placed for an additional 89 vehicles.

In April 2022, the Army Recognition editorial team reported that the United Kingdom approved the delivery of 120 armored vehicles to Ukraine including an undisclosed number of Husky, 4x4 protected support vehicles. The Husky has been designed for a range of missions, including transporting food, water and ammunition, and acting as a command vehicle at headquarters.

Based on the Navistar MXT-MVA design, the Husky provides the same protection and mobility advantages offered by its original MRAP product, the International MaxxPro, but in a lighter and more mobile configuration.

The Husky has a conventional design for a modern 4x4 armored vehicle with the engine at the front, the crew and troop's compartment in the middle, and a cargo area at the rear. It has a five-passenger armored cab with two doors on each side. The roof of the vehicle is fitted with an open-top weapon station that can be armed with a 7.62 mm or a 12.7mm machine gun.

The Husky is powered by a MaxxForce D6.0L V8 engine developing 340 hp and can run at a maximum road speed of 112 km/h.
