Tank units of the motorized infantry division of the Southern Military District deployed in Rostov region trained fire from modern T-72B3M tanks, the press service of the district said.

"During fire training the servicemen destroyed targets imitating a moving tank, antitank grenade launcher, recoilless artillery gun and air objects of the conditional adversary at a distance of 300-2000 meters from tank guns and Kord large-caliber machineguns," it said.

Drivers-mechanics trained to drive combat vehicles on cross-country terrain and overcome natural obstacles, antitank ditches and fortifications.

The training engaged close to a hundred servicemen and over 20 pieces of armaments and military hardware.
