Iran renews offer to equip Lebanese Army.
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi renewed Tehran's offer to equip the Lebanese Army during a meeting with Beirut's Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn.

During the meeting, which reviewed local and Arab developments, Roknabadi said, "Iran stands on Lebanon's side and is fully ready to provide any assistance it demands at all levels, especially with regard to the army's armament."

He also renewed Iran's invitation to Ghosn to visit Tehran to discuss with Iranian officials agreements on military aid to the Lebanese Army.

Ghosn praised "Iran's backing for Lebanon" and underlined the need for boosting relations between the two countries.
