Russian National Guard modernizes firearm, vehicle and boat inventory


Russian National Guard (Rosgvardiya) has begun updating its small arms inventory, Rosgvardiya`s Director Viktor Zolotov said at a meeting of the service`s scientific-technical committee.

"In conjunction with indigenous manufacturers of small arms, we are upgrading our inventory of infantry weapons. The service receives Yarigin PYa pistols, Kalashnikov AK-200 assault rifles and AK-205 [carbines], SV-98 sniper rifles, underwater assault rifles, and amphibious assault rifles," said Zolotov.

"In 2018, the service received 104 brand new platforms, including M-3 Chaborz buggies and Patrul [Patrol] vehicles," he said. According to Zolotov, Rosgvardiya will take the deliveries of BK-16 fast landing craft and Project 21980 Grachonok-class counter-sabotage boats in 2019.
