Ukrainian Company Morozov tests Dozor-B 4x4 armoured vehicle to prepare serial production.
The regular testing of ‘Dozor-B’ light armored vehicle took place at firing range of Kharkov region. Runoff and firing testing do continue in the framework of the preparations to the launching process of vehicle serial production and its passing into service by units of Armed Forces and National Guard. The results proved the quality of technical specifications of the vehicle.

Oleksandr Katorgin, Chief of the Testing Department of ‘Kharkiv Morozov Machine-Building Design Bureau’, which incorporated with Ukroboronprom State Concern, considers that ‘Dozor-B’ has all the perspectives to be promoted within Ukraine and international market.

“Force units of Ukraine do require this vehicle. It’s mobile, maneuverable, and well protected. And, moreover, compared to foreign analogues, the vehicle also has roomy cabin. Dozor-B’ is designed to transport 11 full equipped soldiers. Also, considering such specifications of the vehicle as high passing ability, reliability and economical operation, it will definitely expand the possibilities of the National Guard units during the antiterrorist operation (ATO). Remarkably, such class equipment is adopted by armies of a number of the countries,” – Mr. Katorgin said.

Vehicle’s fuel consumption is at least three times less compared to the same indicator of BTR-80 armored personnel carrier type, and, herewith, it is capable to transport the same number of persons. The price and maintenance costs are several times lower compared to BTR-80 and its analogues.

Ruslan Kaidalov, Chief of the Chair on exploitation and repair of the cars and vehicles of the Academy under National Guard of Ukraine, highly appreciated the facilities of BTR-4E armored personnel carrier, which also was tested at the fire range this day.

“BTR-4E, having been put into the service by National Guard, is the vehicle of new qualitative level. Its combat capacities made our units more powerful, and the lives and health of our soldier more safety. This APC significantly changed the passage of events during ATO for the benefit of Ukrainian servicemen.” – Mr. Kaidalov stressed on.

He also informed that currently National Guard’s crews, being already assigned to the supplied BTR-4E, go on training.

Nowadays the specialists from ‘Kharkiv Morozov Machine-Building Design Bureau’ are testing new vehicles. After that the vehicles are to be supplied to state force structures of Ukraine.

The Dozor-B is 4x4 armoured personnel carrier designed to carry military personnel or heavy loads. The vehicle can be fitted with various light weapons, communication devices and special equipment.

The hull of the Dozor-B is protected against ballistic threats 7.62mm B-32 armour piercing bullets. The bottom part of the vehicle is also protected against mine blast. On request, the Dozor-B can be fitted with additional armour to increase protection against firing of small arms and land mines.

In armoured personnel carrier variant, the Dozor-B is fitted with a remote-controlled weapon station armed with an heavy machine gun NSVT 12.7mm.
