According to a tweet from the Bundeswehr (German army) posted on November 3, Lieutenant Colonel Michael Bischof, project manager, said "In the first step, we commissioned the construction of 65 vehicles. A total of 148 can be called up via the contract. Delivery to the troops is planned for next year". In addition to the construction of the vehicles, the accessories and the training of the staff were also commissioned. The vehicles are fast, all-terrain and all-wheel drive. Up to four soldiers and their equipment can be transported in it, and materials can also be transported. "We are closing a skill gap within the Bundeswehr," said Bischof.

The new 4-seater vehicles of the Bundeswehr are built on an already existing basic vehicle (the Polaris MRZR) and are adapted to the needs of the German armed forces by the contracting specialist company. The Polaris MRZR-D4 is built on a 107″ wheelbase. It weighs just 2,100 lbs but can carry 1,500 lbs of payload including 500 lbs in the cargo box. This modern military pack mule has a 993 cc 4 stroke single overhead cam three cylinder turbo diesel engine. Power to the wheels goes through a CVT. The Polaris MRZR can operate in either 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive mode.
