The decision to increase the number of armored vehicles is based on the success of missions where these vehicles have been utilized. In fact, the Army has begun the operational deployment of five units of the Titán-C armored transport vehicle, manufactured by Integrated Defense Solutions (IDS)/Greit. These models are used in operations against insurgents and terrorists, transporting Army troops to areas where law enforcement missions have been conducted, and providing protection against potential terrorist attacks on the routes they traverse.

The Titán-C stands out for its modified exterior design, optimized for cargo volume. It features a wider corridor for easy entry and exit, as well as stronger reinforcements and reduced weight. Inside, it accommodates 20 suspended seats for passengers, meeting the Army's ergonomic requirements. Additionally, it is equipped with six machine gun seats with sights for interior weapon engagement. Fire-resistant and waterproof materials have been used in the vehicle's manufacturing. Incorporating modifications to the chassis, the 4x4 version enables four-wheel drive, significantly enhancing axle load capacity. Additionally, it reinforces the leaf springs and introduces a new front axle, resulting in an elevated bodywork height.

The Titán-C is also equipped with protection features such as the Runflat system, 385/R22.5 front tires, a double-layer BR6 armor, a V-shaped floor plate for blast wave diffusion, and a day/night camera system. For active protection, it has a weapon station capable of mounting FN Herstal M-249 5.56x45 millimeter machine guns and US Ordnance M-60E4 7.62x51 millimeter machine guns, as well as gun ports for the use of rifles. It also includes a roof-mounted drone/UAV that can operate while the vehicle is in motion.

The Titan-c boasts a spacious rear door and staircase, equipped with innovative torsion springs. These springs ensure that the vehicle maintains its optimal access height, even in the unfortunate event of ground accidents.

The Colombian army received five Titan-C in January 2023, undoubtedly leaving an adequate impression on the decision-making authorities. This is evident from their recent order for an additional 404 Titan-cs, highlighting their confidence and satisfaction with the initial batch.

A $230 million contract for the delivery of 404 Titán-C armored vehicles is an interesting development for the Colombian armed forces. With this acquisition, Colombia will be better equipped to address security challenges within its territory, particularly with these light vehicles capable of maneuvering more easily in the country's unique geography.
