The French military parade for Bastille Day July 14, 2025, showcased the integration of advanced combat platforms, enhanced mobility assets, and next-generation weapon systems recently inducted into service of French armed forces.

At the heart of the rehearsal stood the new Leclerc XLR Main Battle Tank, a modernized version of the iconic Leclerc tank featuring upgraded electronics, enhanced protection, and networked battlefield capabilities that align with France's SCORPION program. Alongside it, the CAESAR 6x6 self-propelled howitzer reaffirmed its reputation as a battle-proven artillery system, delivering unmatched precision and mobility. The parade also featured the full family of new-generation armored vehicles: the multi-role Griffon, the reconnaissance and combat-capable Jaguar EBRC, and the agile Serval 4x4, all of which are now fully operational across various French Army units.

An essential addition to this year's parade was the unveiling of the Centaure armored 4x4 vehicle for the Gendarmerie Mobile, symbolizing a shift toward modern urban and homeland security capabilities. In the air defense domain, France demonstrated its strategic depth with the deployment of the VL MICA short-range missile system and the high-altitude SAMP/T air defense system, reinforcing national and European airspace protection capabilities. Complementing these ground systems, combat drone vehicles and remote-operated platforms made their first major public appearance, hinting at the future integration of AI-assisted warfare in the French doctrine.

This year's French Bastille Day military parade rehearsal not only illustrates France’s continued investment in its military forces but also sends a clear geopolitical message of deterrence, autonomy, and readiness to operate in high-intensity conflict environments.
