The agreement, formalized in Ankara, follows an initial memorandum of understanding signed during the SAHA EXPO in October 2023. After a series of successful technical and commercial negotiations, HAVELSAN was selected to design and deliver a complete set of training systems to support the operational use of the B-250 aircraft.

According to the terms of the agreement, HAVELSAN will provide Calidus with several systems, including a Flight Training Device (FTD), Part Task Trainers (PTT), a Briefing and Debriefing Station (DBR), a Cockpit Entry/Exit Simulator (CIES), and a Computer-Based Training (CBT) system. These tools are intended to deliver a structured and modern training environment aligned with the specific features of the B-250 platform.

Calidus CEO Dr. Khalifa Albooshi described the partnership as a step toward the long-term development of the company’s internal capabilities. He stated that the selection of HAVELSAN as the training solutions provider ensures a level of technological readiness aligned with international standards and supports Calidus’ goal of training future generations of pilots according to the B-250’s operational requirements.

HAVELSAN General Manager Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar highlighted the importance of this agreement in the context of Türkiye’s broader defense export strategy. He emphasized HAVELSAN’s capacity to deliver fully indigenous, integrated, and reliable simulation and training solutions, and noted that the cooperation with Calidus reflects the company’s international presence in the sector.

By delivering key components of the B-250’s training infrastructure, HAVELSAN contributes to the operational preparedness of end users while reinforcing Türkiye’s technological footprint in the global defense market. This agreement is part of a broader trend of bilateral cooperation in defense matters, where Turkish technologies are playing an increasingly prominent role.
