At Zhuhai Airshow 2018, held in China from November 6-11, NORINCO made a live demonstration of its range of light armored vehicles.
VN4
The VN4 is a 4x4 light tactical armoured vehicle designed and manufactured in China by the Chinese Defense Company Norinco. The VN4 4x4 wheeled armoured vehicle is a multi-role light armoured vehicle platform that can be used by fast reaction forces, armoured troops, police forces and also for peacekeeping and anti-terrorism missions. The VN can be equipped with different armaments for a full range of combat applications.
VP11
The VP11 is a lightweight 4x4 MRAP designed by chinese company NORINCO. It has a standard STANAG 4569 Level 1 ballistic protection, but can be upped to Level 2 with additional armor plate. It can protect the crew from explosion of 10kg TNT.
VN21
The VN21 is the latest V-series protected vehicle from Chinese company NORINCO. As the VN21 is fairly new, there isn't much official information for the moment. The VN21 is most likely based on NORINCO's "wheeled ground-based common platform" which is similar to other NATO types of platform such as Oshkosh's JLTV. It seems that the VN21 is based on a newly designed monocoque hull with add-on armor panels. The VN21 was showcased at Zhuhai Airshow 2018 with a remotely operated machine gun fitted with a W85 12.7mm heavy machine gun.
VP22
The VP22 is a 6x6 MRAP which is a smaller version of the 8x8 Beiben Kaijia MRAP, it was first publicly revealed in 2017 during a demonstration at Norinco's training ground in Baotou. The VP22 is highly modular and can be configured in many variants such as troop carrier (that can accommodates around 16 soldiers), command post and armored medical vehicle. The VP22 can also be fitted with numerous types of weapons, like shielded 12.7mm heavy machine gun, automatic grenade launchers, remotely operated weapon station or even various missiles launcher.
CS/VP11
The CS/VP11 is a small all-terrain vehicle developed by Chinese company NORINCO. It is designed as a light role load carriage platform. It can also be used as medical transportation.
CS/VP16
The CS/VP16 is a 6x6 all-terrain amphibious vehicle designed to transport troops in the harshest environments. It can be fitted with machine gun in central position. The CS/VP16 is lightly armored on his sides.
CS/VP4
The CS/VP4 is a 8x8 light all-terrain vehicle that can be used to transport troops or small equipments. It is designed to be able drive on any terrain so it can make reconnaissance mission. The CS/VP4 is also amphibious.
CS/VN10
The CS/VN10 is 4x4 armoured vehicle personnel carrier designed and manufactured by the Chinese Defense Company NORINCO. The vehicle is armed with a Chinese-made Gatling 3 barrels 7.62mm caliber rotary machine gun.
CS/VN3-JY
The CS/VN3-JY is a 4x4 light tactical armoured vehicle designed and manufactured in China by the Chinese Companies NORINCO and Poly Technologies. The development of the CS/VN3 began in 2007 and was unveiled for the first time to the public at AirShow China in November 2012.
CS/VP3
The CS/VP3 is a 4x4 MRAP APC designed by Chinese company Poly Technologies. It was first unveilled at DSA 2012 in Malaysia. The CS/VP3 is currently used by Nigerian and Ugandan police. It can also be used as medical, command post or reconnaissance variants.
CS/VP14
The CS/VP14 is a 4x4 MRAP APC designed by Chinese company NORINCO, it can carry 9 soldiers + 2 crew members. The CS/VP14 is STANAG 4569 level 3b certified, which means it can withstand up to 8kg of TNT. It can also protect crews from 7.62mm Armor Piercing ammunition with additional armor module.
