Ukrainian-Czech company UAC presents new Leleka LR UAV

Leleka LR is a Ukrainian drone produced outside of Ukraine at a Czech plant by Deviro, the manufacturer of "Stork-100." This diversification of production aims to secure the material, technical, and intellectual base of production, as reported by Militarnyi. The new drone will be manufactured in the EU, while Ukraine will retain its UAV testing, service, and operator training facilities.

UAC representatives have emphasized that the system's development draws from experience in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, focusing on protection against enemy electronic warfare systems. The manufacturer has skillfully incorporated state-of-the-art technological solutions to effectively counter electronic countermeasures.

The "Stork" drone ensures redundancy in its core systems and offers multiple communication channels, each with distinct frequencies and robust encryption algorithms. Additionally, anti-jamming systems, including CRP antennas, are integrated into its design.

Leleka LR primarily serves for reconnaissance and artillery fire adjustment. It features a two-axis gyro-stabilized optical-electronic module with 25-fold optical and 4-fold digital zoom capabilities. It is available in both day and night versions, equipped with thermal imaging surveillance. The onboard computer employs digital video processing algorithms, enabling automatic tracking of static and moving objects.

Furthermore, the manufacturer has anticipated the possibility of simultaneous drone usage with artillery, such as the HIMARS system.

The Leleka LR boasts a range of key specifications that make it a remarkable aerial device. It operates effectively within altitudes ranging from 1,200 to 1,500 meters, with the capability to ascend to a maximum height of 2,000 meters. When it comes to speed, it can reach a maximum of 32 meters per second while cruising comfortably at 22 meters per second. With a wingspan spanning 3 meters, this drone exhibits stability and maneuverability.

In terms of weight, the Leleka LR has a take-off weight of 8.7 kg and can carry a payload of up to 600 grams. Its impressive flight radius extends up to 90 kilometers, allowing it to cover substantial distances during its missions. Moreover, it offers a commendable flight time of approximately 4 hours, making it a dependable and long-lasting asset for various applications.
One significant advantage of the Leleka-100 UAV system is its ease of crew retraining for the new drone, given their familiarity with similar maintenance procedures and software. Crew members can complete their training in less than two weeks.

All products from the UAC company adhere to NATO standards, and the company plans to deliver several hundred Leleka LR drones to various NATO countries in the near future. However, the primary focus remains on meeting the needs of the Ukrainian armed Forces.

It's worth noting that the UAV has already undergone successful trial operations with special units on the front lines, particularly in the Zaporizhzhia direction, where it effectively corrected Ukrainian artillery fire.
