ShieldAfrica 2019: Kazakhstan Defense Companies NAVYCO and Armytex


Kazakhstan Defense Companies exhibit for the first time at ShieldAfrica defense exhibition in Côte d'Ivoire with the Company Armytex, a producer of parachute-braking systems for front-line aircrafts MiG-29, MiG -31, Su-25 and Su -27, Su -29 and NAVYCO, a manufacturer of components for main battle tanks and combat vehicles.

At Shield Africa 2019,the International Defense and Security Exhibition in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, the Kazakhstani defense Company Armytex display their new products. Kazakhstan Company Armytex offers parachute-braking systems for front-line fighter aircrafts MiG-29, MiG -31, Su-25 and Su -27, Su -29.

A parachute-braking system serves for brakeage of air vehicle and unloading wheel brake system, as well as reduces the rolling length when brakeage by artificial diminishment. Production capacities of the enterprise allow producing up to 300 parachute-braking systems per year, thus covering the needs of the Ministry of Defense, and creating an export potential of these products. It is worth noting that the company manufactures these products for the needs of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan and now try to enter the international military market.

The second company of Kazakhstan at ShieldAfrica 2019 is NAVYCO. The main activity of the company is overhaul and SKD assembly of diesel engines of series B-2 and series 20 for armored vehicles, as well as engine cooling radiators and high-pressure fuel pumps for T-72, Т-55, T-62 tanks and BMP-1, BMP-2 infantry combat vehicles.

The producon capacies of the enterprise allow to assemble and overhaul up to 300 engines and 300 radiators per year, to carry out tesng and diagnosis of engines (B-54, B-55, B-46 and its modificaons, B-84 and its modificaons, B-30M, B-31M2 , B-6R1, B-59U; UTD-20, UTD-20S1, 5D20-K300, 5D20-K200, SMD), with increased accuracy to diagnose and adjust a variety of hydraulic units and elements of the fuel equipment (HPFP, oil and water pumps) as well as to provide an opportunity of carrying out overhaul and presale preparaon of motor parts of all types of armor vehicles, being at service of the Armed forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other countries.

NAVYCO manufactures units and components for different types of armor vehicles as main battle tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and engineering vehicles. The Company has all necessary test stands for units of the armor and tank vehicles.

In recent years, Kazakhstan ha developed and try to create a new way for the defense and aerospace industry. As one of the emerging powers in Asia, and one of the largest and best-performing economies in Central Asia, Kazakhstan offers strong potential for growth compared to its neighbors.

Kazakhstan is expected to procure military equipment to boost its naval strength and maritime security in order to bolster its strength in the Caspian Sea and is also likely to invest in Multi-Mission and Maritime Helicopter, multirole aircraft, airborne C4ISR, airborne EO/IR systems, and transport aircraft.

Kazakhstan organizes every two years is own Defense Exhibition KADEX in the city of Astana. The International Exhibition of Weapons Systems and Military Equipment KADEX was launched in 2010 to create a new platform for demonstration of latest products in the sphere of defense industry and opinion exchange between military experts.
