FED: Titan Defense is showing its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul capabilities

Titan Defense is well known for being a leading specialist in tactical fuelling solutions. Its range includes Fuel Tankers, Aircraft Refuellers, Containerized Solutions and Forward Area Refuelling Equipment. At FED2019, Titan Defense is showing its MRO capabilities (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul).

“Building the best in the class vehicle is our daily job but being able to assist armed forces to maintain it for 20 or 30 years is just as important. At Titan, we are proud to have a dedicated division for MRO and I believe this is unique in the defense fuelling industry. Our services go from the preventive maintenance on-site to the complete refurbishing of the vehicles” says Yves Amann, Head of Defense at Titan.

At FED 2019, Titan Defense is showcasing one of the 50 CCPTA trucks that are currently being commissioned at the French Army and Air Force. These are 5,000-liter tanker modules that have been built by Titan 10 years ago and have just been upgraded and transferred to match brand new 6X6 Arquus Armis chassis.

Titan is also trusted for maintaining vehicles coming back from operations like Mali, for example, one of the harshest environments that the French Army has encountered in its history.

Titan Defense getting ready for the future

The need for fuel logistic has never been so important. Even though improvements in consumption are made, vehicles are getting heavier and more powerful due to the increasing armoring levels. As an example, the French Army expects a 20% increase of its fuel consumption at short term. Titan Defense is already getting ready to face new challenges in France and Internationally. A new factory will be ready by mid-2020 that will allow doubling the current production capacity. “This is a big step for us in our goal to strengthen even more our position in the market of refuelling and set up new standards in terms of quality and delivery time”.
