Patriot GEM‑T: Proven in combat, built through European partnerships.
Raytheon, an RTX business, has recently secured multi-billion-dollar contracts, including a $3.7 billion agreement for Ukraine and a recent NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) award for Poland, to supply Patriot Advanced Capability-2 (PAC-2) Guidance Enhanced Missile-Tactical (GEM-T) interceptors. These multi-national procurement actions aim to rapidly scale production capacity and bolster Allied integrated air defense architectures against tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial systems. The contract ramp-up leverages joint European manufacturing initiatives, such as the Comlog joint venture in Germany, to shorten delivery timelines and replenish high-demand interceptor inventories across NATO partner nations.
Raytheon’s Patriot GEM-T interceptor modernizes the PAC-2 blast-fragmentation warhead with an upgraded proximity fuze, enhanced solid-propellant propulsion, and digitized seeker electronics to expand its engagement envelope against low-radar-cross-section and high-speed ballistic threats. Supported by NSPA procurement frameworks and 19 Patriot operational user nations, the GEM-T serves as a primary air defense effector alongside the hit-to-kill PAC-3 missile.

- In June, Raytheon was awarded a $988 million contract to supply GEM-T missiles to Poland.
