In October 2017, Turkey’s private defense company Nurol Makina had signed a deal for joint production of 1,000 Ejder Yalcin 4×4 wheeled tactical armored vehicles with an Uzbekistan’s UzAuto company. Under the deal, 1,000 Ejder Yalcin 4×4 tactical armored vehicles — called “Dragon” in English — will be co-produced in Uzbekistan. The deal also includes the vehicles’ sales to third countries.

The Nurol Makina is a Turkish manufacturer of tactical wheeled armored and security vehicles for both Turkish armed forces and international military and security services. The Company was founded in 1976 to deliver turnkey industrial plants and perform large scale contracting regarding steel construction and machinery production. Nurol Makina has started her activities in the field of defense industry after the establishment of the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries (SSM) in Turkey. Nurol Makina established its facilities at Sincan, Ankara Industrial Zone in 1992.

The Ejder Yalcin is a 4x4 wheeled tactical armored combat vehicle designed and manufactured by the Turkish Company Nurol Makina. The Ejder Yalçin was unveiled at IDEF, a Turkish defense exhibition in May 2013 and production began in 2014.

The hull of the Edjder Yalcin is of all-welded steel armor construction that provides ballistic protection against firing of small arms and shell splinters. The vehicle is based on monocoque structures with integrated V-shaped armored hull that increase vehicle and crew survivability by deflecting an upward directed blast from a landmine or Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) away from the vehicle, while also presenting a sloped armor face.

The Ejder Yalcin can carry a total of 12 military personnel including driver and commander. It can be fitted with different types of remote-controlled and manually-operated weapon stations according to customers requirements.

The Ejder Yalcin wheeled armored is motorized with a Cummins Diesel engine developing 300 hp. at 3,100 rpm coupled to a fully automatic transmission with hydrodynamic torque converter. The vehicle can run at a maximum road speed of 110 km with a maximum cruising range of 600 km.
