Russia’s state corporation Rostec has detailed the actual variant of the newest T-90MS main battle tank (MBT). The company has published infographics describing the tank’s features on its official Facebook page.

"The [T-90MS combat] vehicle features improved accuracy and new digital communications, navigation, and [combat] management subsystems. The tank has been powered by an engine with increased power output," said Rostec’s press department in a comment on the infographics.
According to the document, the latest T-90MS tank (with its ammunition load) weighs some 48 tons and is manned by a three-strong crew. "The MBT produces a maximum road speed of 70 km/h and features a power-to-weight ratio of 17 kWt/t [23 hp/t]," said Rostec. The T-90MS carries an ammunition load of 40 rounds.
The land system’s vetronics suite allows the crew to recognize a target at a distance of up to 5,000 meters by day and up to 3,300 meters at night. "The tank’s features provide its crew with the ability to operate round-the-clock under various climatic and weather conditions," said Rostec.
The T-90MS is being produced by the concern Uralvagonzavod (UVZ), a subsidiary of Rostec. "The T-90MS is a modernized variant of the renowned T-90S that is the biggest-selling MBT in the global arms market," said Rostec.
In February 2019, Designer General of the UVZ’s Ural Design Bureau of Transport Machine-Building (UKBTM) Andrey Terlikov told the TASS news agency that the T-90MS had received some capabilities of high-precision weapons. "The accuracy of 125 mm gun’s firing has been improved, while the subsystem’s service life has been extended. A wide range of munitions, which includes an anti-tank guided missile [ATGM] and an air-burst high explosive-fragmentation [HE-Frag] round [among other projectiles], turns the vehicle’s armament suite into a high-precision weapon," said Terlikov.
