SOFINS 2021: Centigon displays Fortress 200 Intervention


Centigon France, a sister company of Centigon Security Group, a world leading provider of civil and military armoured vehicles, displays Fortress 200 Intervention during the SOFINS Special Forces Operations Equipment exhibition that was held in France from 29 June to 1 July 2021.

The Centigon Fortress Intervention is an armored 4x4 designed for special forces and specialized intervention units in counter-terrorism and policing operations in Europe as well as in external operations. The vehicle is conceived to accommodate an intervention team of 6 crew of which 4 in the back area.

Despite a civilian look and appearance, the Fortress Intervention offers military-grade armor and can withstand various assault rifles (type Kalashnikov AK-47) and explosions (grenades, lateral explosion ...). It is also equipped with a complete set of safety systems, including a large flap of the roof, run-flat ensuring vehicle mobility even with a punctured tire, the ballistic glass is made of multi-layered glass and polycarbonate.

The FORTRESS 200 Intervention based on the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 has been successfully certified to level VR7 (VPAM BRV 2009) ensuring the integration of the armouring. It successfully passed a side blast of 15kg TNT charge detonated at 2m, 6kg TNT under the front wheel (Stanag 2a), a mine explosion (one DM31 mine) under the floor, and the explosion of two DM51 hand grenades simultaneously detonated on the roof.

It offers great comfort for all passengers while maintaining its off-road capabilities. The FORTRESS 200 Intervention is specially designed for Police Special Forces such as the French GIGN ou the Belgium unit, the CSGU.
