CARACAL, specializing in small arms, highlighted the CSRM multi-caliber sniper rifle, capable of being chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Winchester, and .338 Lapua Magnum. Its innovative design allows for quick barrel changes without requiring a new zeroing process, addressing a key limitation of existing models. The rifle features a foldable and adjustable stock and weighs between 5.2 and 7.5 kg, depending on the configuration. CARACAL has also taken over the production of small arms ammunition previously managed by Lahab and is developing sniper-specific ammunition, expected to be available in the third quarter of 2025.
The SKYKNIGHT air defense system, developed by HALCON, was another highlight at the EDGE Group stand. Designed to provide multi-layered protection against various asymmetric and conventional threats, it can intercept up to 80 airborne targets simultaneously. Its modular architecture allows deployment on both static infrastructures and mobile units. SKYKNIGHT missiles have a range of 10,000 meters against conventional aerial threats such as aircraft and helicopters, and 4,000 to 6,000 meters against rockets, mortars, and guided projectiles. Integrated into the Oerlikon Skynex system, it offers advanced protection for bases and deployed forces.
Milrem Robotics introduced the HAVOC, an 8x8 robotic combat vehicle designed for autonomous and hybrid operations. Equipped with a hybrid propulsion system, it combines stealth and extended endurance while integrating heavy weapon systems. Its modular design and compatibility with other Milrem platforms streamline maintenance and operational adaptability. Lighter than traditional manned armored vehicles, it enhances mobility in difficult terrain, aided by an advanced drivetrain and reduced turning radius.
NIMR presented the AJBAN MK2, a light armored vehicle designed for reconnaissance, transport, and combat missions. Two variants were showcased: AJBAN 452A, optimized for troop transport with enhanced protection and a nine-soldier capacity, and AJBAN 432AU, designed for specialized missions such as command and observation, featuring an adaptable layout. Both models incorporate a reinforced monocoque chassis and high-performance engine, reaching speeds of 110 km/h with a 700 km range. Their V-hull design ensures effective protection against mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
Through these presentations, EDGE Group demonstrated its ability to develop high-tech defense solutions that align with modern military requirements. CARACAL, HALCON, Milrem Robotics, and NIMR showcased systems aimed at addressing contemporary operational challenges. IDEX 2025 provided an opportunity for these entities to reinforce their strategic positioning and expand their presence in the international defense market.
