Future Forces Exhibition & Forum 2026, scheduled from 21 to 23 October at PVA EXPO PRAGUE in the Czech Republic, will provide a meeting point for defence, security, industry, research and government stakeholders examining emerging technologies and future capability needs. Army Recognition Group will attend the event as an Official Media Partner, providing international coverage from Prague. Among the participating organisations, the Czech Technical University in Prague will present advanced manufacturing research developed within the National Centre of Competence ENGINEERING project.
The TN02000018 National Centre of Competence ENGINEERING (NCKS) project will present selected applied research and development results together with ongoing research topics that may have relevance for the defence and security industry. The exhibition will be delivered by the Czech Technical University in Prague, participating in the project through its Faculty of Mechanical Engineering / RCMT, with the presentation focused on manufacturing technologies that could support future industrial requirements.

Presented under the title “Advanced Manufacturing Technologies for the Defence and Security Industry,” the exhibition will highlight NCKS work related to rapid production ramp-up, precision, digitalisation, repair and modernisation of equipment. The programme will cover several research areas, including scalable manufacturing, virtual validation and digital twins, operational data and monitoring, machine-tool interoperability, and additive and hybrid manufacturing. Together, these topics illustrate how advanced production methods are being explored to improve flexibility, control and efficiency across demanding industrial environments.
One of the dedicated demonstration areas will focus on additive and hybrid manufacturing, including research into machine-tool components incorporating integrated cooling concepts. Within the NCKS project, activities include spindle-head cooling solutions based on additive manufacturing as well as hybrid WAAM-based manufacturing approaches. The exhibition will also feature project topics linked to virtual validation, production monitoring and data integration, reflecting the growing importance of digitally connected manufacturing processes for complex industrial applications.
Beyond the technology demonstrations, the participation is intended to encourage direct technical exchanges with manufacturers, integrators and users, while gathering application feedback and supporting the transfer of NCKS results into industrial practice. The TN02000018 National Centre of Competence ENGINEERING project is co-financed from the Czech state budget by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic within the National Centres of Competence Programme. Visitors will be able to meet the project representatives at PVA EXPO PRAGUE, Hall H5, Stand 532, from 21 to 23 October 2026.
Conclusion
Future Forces Exhibition & Forum 2026 will offer the defence and security community in the Czech Republic an international platform to examine emerging technologies, industrial know-how and research with potential relevance to future operational and production needs. The NCKS presentation by the Czech Technical University in Prague will provide a closer look at ongoing work in advanced manufacturing, digitalisation, virtual validation, production monitoring and additive technologies, while creating opportunities for direct engagement between research and industry. Army Recognition Group will be present at Future Forces 2026 as an Official Media Partner, delivering dedicated editorial and video coverage of the defence and security technologies presented during the event.
