The partnership between the DIMDEX Organising Committee and QMC is aimed at increasing the event’s visibility across local and regional audiences by leveraging QMC’s extensive media network. This is not the first collaboration between DIMDEX and Qatar Media Corporation. In previous editions, QMC provided broad coverage of the event’s core themes, contributing to the participation of international delegations and the development of ties within the maritime security and defence sector. For this ninth edition, QMC has committed to covering the main features of the event, including the core exhibition dedicated to maritime defence and security technologies, the Middle East Naval Commanders Conference (MENC), visiting warships, and the presence of international delegations and industry representatives.
On this occasion, Staff Brigadier (Sea) Abdulbaqi Saleh Al-Ansari expressed his satisfaction with the renewal of the partnership with QMC, which he described as a key channel for conveying the event’s messages to decision-makers. He noted that this media cooperation contributes to advancing Qatar’s profile in the global maritime defence arena. He also extended his thanks to His Excellency Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Ali Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, and His Excellency Lieutenant General (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai, Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces, for their role in mobilising resources for the success of the event.
Mr. Ali Saleh Al-Sada, Director of Qatar TV, also acknowledged the renewed confidence placed in Qatar TV by the Qatar Armed Forces and the Organising Committee. He stated that the partnership aligns with national development goals and reflects the institution’s capacity to cover large-scale events. He confirmed that all Qatar TV platforms will be allocated to deliver full coverage of DIMDEX 2026, both locally and internationally. He also acknowledged the support of His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdulaziz bin Jassim Al Thani, Acting CEO of the Corporation, and his confidence in the capabilities of local media professionals.
Qatar Media Corporation, which includes multiple television and radio channels, plays a central role in the country’s media landscape. The corporation focuses on adapting to the evolving media environment of the 21st century, producing content that aligns with Qatar’s cultural identity and social values.
DIMDEX 2026 will be held under the theme “A Global Hub for Defence Innovations: Invest in Possibilities to Shape a Secure Tomorrow.” For the first time, the event will span four days, aiming to promote innovation, encourage investment in next-generation maritime technologies, and contribute to the development of a safer and more sustainable maritime domain.
The renewal of the partnership between DIMDEX and Qatar Media Corporation reflects a shared intention to enhance the event’s media footprint, support Qatar’s defence diplomacy, and ensure the broad dissemination of strategic discussions and technological developments shaping the future of maritime security.
