The agreement was signed at the Joaan Bin Jassim Academy by Staff Brigadier (Sea) Abdulbaqi Saleh Al-Ansari, Chairman of the DIMDEX Organizing Committee, and Staff Brigadier (Dr) Rajih Mohammed bin Aqeel Al-Nabet, President of the Academy. This partnership reflects a broader effort among the various branches of the Qatari Armed Forces to consolidate expertise and resources to ensure the effective execution of this maritime defense and security event.

The Middle East Naval Commanders Conference will focus on the theme “Defence Diplomacy and Maritime Security Challenges.” The forum will bring together international officials, senior government representatives, ministers, ambassadors, chiefs of staff, naval commanders, experts, and academics to address recent developments and security challenges in the maritime domain.

The organization of the conference by the Joaan Bin Jassim Academy aligns with its aim to enhance inter-institutional cooperation and develop national-level academic military programs. The Academy places emphasis on coordinating efforts in support of national events and on promoting awareness of the importance of integration between civil and military institutions to contribute to strategic stability and internal cohesion.

This initiative also supports the Academy’s goal of strengthening its role in postgraduate defense education at both the regional and international levels. It seeks to train military and civilian leaders capable of analyzing security threats, assessing risks, and developing strategic policies that contribute to national security and stability.

Under the theme “A Global Hub for Defence Innovations: Invest in Possibilities to Shape a Secure Tomorrow,” DIMDEX 2026 is positioned to be the most comprehensive edition of the event. It will convene decision-makers, industry leaders, and government representatives to explore strategic investments in future maritime technologies and support international business development.
