The Lakota 6x6 combines exceptional capabilities with numerous configurations, offering a highly adaptable vehicle system designed to meet the needs of a variety of missions.

The Mack Defense Lakota 6x6 vehicle system, features a U.S.-built engine and transmission, is capable of a maximum on-road speed of 62 mph with a range of up to 1,400 miles. Available in five configurations, it can transport up to 12 personnel. The vehicle is serviceable across the Volvo Group support network, which features locations around the world.

The Lakota 6x6 offers the protection of a mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicle, thanks to its unique design and fully armored hull. Yet, with its lighter weight and better maneuverability, the Lakota 6x6 demonstrates superior off-road mobility and multi-mission capabilities. 

“The Lakota 6x6 delivers the capabilities of an 8x8, but at a fraction of the cost,” Werling said. “Combined with its MRAP-level protection, as well as lower overall lifecycle costs, the Lakota 6x6 is a compelling offer for any customer. The Mack Defense Lakota’s capabilities were tested and showcased in multiple locations throughout the U.S., including California, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Michigan. Not only did the Lakota meet our performance expectations, but it exceeded them in many areas.” 

The Mack Defense Lakota 6x6 vehicle system will be on display at Mack Defense booth No. V7 during the 26th Annual Showcase for Commerce, a nationally known business and industry trade show and defense contracting exhibition May 31 to June 2 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
