At IDEF 2021, International Defense Exhibition, the Sungur air defense missile system is mounted on a Vuran 4x4 armored vehicle produced by the Turkish company Vuran offering a mobile air defense system that can be deployed on the modern battlefield.

The Roketsan Sungur consists of two missile launcher pods, each capable of firing two fire-and-forget infrared-guided (IR) missiles. The self-propelled surface-to-air missile system provides mobile, short-range air defense protection for ground units against cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), low-flying fixed-wing aircraft, and helicopters.

The missile can reach aerial targets from a distance of 500 m to 8 km with an altitude up to 4 km. It has the capability to be fire when the vehicle is on the move and it has effective target detection, diagnosis, identification, tracking on 360-degrees during day and night conditions.
