Azerbaijan-Built ITX 15M Double Cab Armored Vehicle Combines Troop Transport with Modular Armed Capability.
ITX Motors unveiled its ITX 15M Double Cab protected 4×4 at ADEX 2026 in Baku, with Army Recognition observing the vehicle on September 30, 2026, in a configuration fitted with an ASELSAN SARP 25L turret. The platform combines protected troop transport with the ability to carry weapon stations and mission systems, giving military users a configurable vehicle for moving personnel while supporting armed battlefield roles.
The 12-ton vehicle pairs a 360 hp engine and permanent four-wheel drive with STANAG 4569 Level 3 cabin protection and mine protection rated up to Level 3A, while carrying up to ten personnel in addition to the driver and commander. Its compatibility with ASELSAN systems expands its potential beyond troop transport into armed patrol, command, surveillance, and other mission configurations requiring protected mobility and modular firepower.

On September 30, 2026, Azerbaijani company ITX Motors showcased its ITX 15M Double Cab protected vehicle at the ADEX 2026 defense exhibition in Baku, where the platform was displayed equipped with an ASELSAN SARP 25L turret. The presentation highlights the development of protected mobility solutions by Azerbaijan’s defense industry and the vehicle’s potential to accommodate systems from ASELSAN for different operational configurations. Army Recognition was present at ADEX 2026 in Baku to provide on-site coverage of the newest defense technologies, military vehicles, weapon systems, and equipment unveiled during the exhibition.
The ITX 15M Double Cab is a 12,000 kg protected 4×4 vehicle powered by a 360 hp engine coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Its drivetrain incorporates a two-speed transfer case with permanent four-wheel drive and a locking center differential, giving the platform a configuration intended to support mobility across demanding terrain. The vehicle is fitted with 14R20 run-flat tires and uses dual-circuit pneumatic disc brakes with ABS, reinforcing its ability to maintain mobility and control during military operations.
Protection is a central element of the ITX 15M Double Cab design. According to the technical specifications presented for the vehicle, the cabin provides STANAG 4569 Level 3 protection, while the engine compartment is protected to STANAG 4569 Level 1. Mine protection is rated at STANAG 4569 Level 3A and Level 2B, providing protection against explosive threats beneath the wheel and vehicle structure at the corresponding protection levels.
Mobility is further supported by an independent double-wishbone suspension with telescopic shock absorbers and locking differentials. The electrical architecture includes a 28 V / 155 A alternator and two 12 V / 180 Ah batteries. Depending on configuration, the ITX 15M Double Cab can accommodate a driver and commander together with either eight or ten additional personnel, giving the platform a protected transport capacity adaptable to different operational and mission requirements.
At ADEX 2026, the vehicle was exhibited with ASELSAN’s SARP 25L turret. While the weapon station represents one possible configuration, the significance of the display lies primarily in the ITX 15M Double Cab’s ability to serve as a carrier for ASELSAN products and mission equipment. This modular approach gives ITX Motors the potential to adapt the protected 4×4 platform to different operational requirements while integrating weapon stations, sensors, communications equipment, and other mission systems depending on customer needs.
