Belgian Helidays 2017: Overview of Belgian Air Force and International helicopters
After many years, the Helidays is back in Belgium, this event was organized in the past by the Belgian Air Force and recognized as one of the biggest events and Air Show especially dedicated for military helicopters. Wednesday, April 12, the Belgian air force base of Beauvechain has hosted the edition 2017 of Helidays.
     
After many years, the Helidays is back in Belgium, this event was organized in the past by the Belgian Air Force and recognized as one of the biggest events and Air Show especially dedicated for military helicopters. Wednesday, April 12, the Belgian air force base of Beauvechain has hosted the edition 2017 of Helidays.
     
For the edition 2017 of Helidays, the Belgian Air Force had only three months to prepare the event and launch invitations to foreign air forces, but its was a great success with more than 20 helicopters from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, France, Netherlands, and United States.

Army Recognition editorial was in Beauchevain to cover and promote the vent at the International level thanks to its online Defense and Security magazine and Web TV.

The AgustaWestland AW109 (A109) is a light-weight, twin-engine, eight-seat multi-purpose helicopter built by the Anglo-Italian manufacturer AgustaWestland. The AW109 Light Utility Helicopter (LUH) has established itself as a best-selling military light-twin helicopter able to satisfy a wide range of military requirements. This ability to fulfil a wide range of missions makes the aircraft a true force multiplier, providing military commanders with excellent operational flexibility.
     
The SH-3 Sea King (company designation S-61) is a twin-engined anti-submarine warfare (ASW) helicopter designed and manufactured by the American Company Sikorsky. Designed to combine the hunter/ killer functions in one airframe, the Sikorsky HSS-2 was the subject of a US Navy contract awarded on 23 September 1957.

The TTH version of NH90 is configured to provide the highest level of utility based operations through the use of its versatile design and role fit features. From its operating base, it is able to self ferry or be transported by ship or air to the combat area. It is then able to operate from a forward base in a harsh combat environment, without a heavy support infrastructure to provide a number of utility roles including the ability to fly nap-of-the-earth flight patterns.

The Mi-24V/Mi-35 "Hind-E" (export variant) (NATO reporting name: Hind) is a multirole combat helicopter with low-capacity troop transport manufactured by the Russian company Rostverol. It is the result of more than 45 years of research and development, since the first flight of the prototype in 1969. The Mi-24V/Mi-35 entered production in 1976, and nearly 1.500 had been built in Arsenyev and Rostov by 1986.
