Russian Black Sea Fleet expected to receive 12 ships in 2022.

According to information published by Tass on August 26, 2022, the Black Sea Fleet is expected to receive more than 30 military hardware items, including 12 ships and vessels, in 2022.

Earlier, the Black Sea Fleet’s press office said that the fleet had received seven ships and vessels, including the Project 22160 patrol ship Pavel Derzhavin and the small missile ship Graivoron, in 2020.

The auxiliary fleet got the seagoing tug Sergei Balk, the large hydrographic boats Alexander Firsov, Vladimir Kozitsky, and Boris Slobodnik, as well as the harbor tug RB-371. In 2021, the Black Sea Fleet got ships and boats as well.

About the Project 22160 patrol ship

Project 22160 is a series of large patrol ships being constructed for the Russian Navy. The vessels are primarily intended for duties such as patrol, monitoring, and protection in open and closed seas. The first ship was laid down in February 2014 and joined the Russian Navy in December 2018. By January 2018, six ships were under construction.

The ship has a length of 94 m, a beam of 14 m, a draught of 3.4 m, and a standard displacement from 1,300 to 1,700 tons. She can accommodate up to 80 personnel.

The class's armament includes the Kalibr-NK cruise missile, aerosol camouflage, two grenade launchers, two machine guns, and a 76.2 mm dual-purpose gun (AK-176).

The ship also has a helicopter deck and hangar for one Ka-27 or Ka-226 helicopter. The ship also carries a landing speedboat and has provisions for drones, underwater unmanned craft, and unmanned boats.
