Founded in 2019 in the United Arab Emirates, Aksum Marine has established itself as a key player in the design and production of armored and special-purpose vessels. Its facility in Umm Al Quwain covers 30,000 m², allowing for a production capacity of 10 units per month, utilizing advanced technologies such as CNC laser cutting for armored steel. The company’s approach integrates all production stages, ensuring efficiency and strict quality control.

The Chaser 980 is a 9.8-meter armored patrol boat designed for surveillance, anti-piracy, and rapid response missions. With BR6-level armor, it can transport up to six personnel and reach speeds of 45 knots, powered by two 350-horsepower Mercury Verado engines. With a minimum range of 250 nautical miles, it can be equipped with turrets and weapon mounts to meet operational requirements.

The Chaser 1200, a larger 12-meter version, provides equivalent ballistic protection while increasing passenger capacity to 14. Powered by three 400-horsepower engines, it can reach speeds of 50 knots, maintaining the same operational range. Its modular design allows for customized configurations, including air conditioning, advanced communication systems, and a reinforced pilothouse.

The interview conducted at IDEX 2025 with an Aksum Marine representative highlights the company’s strategy for expanding into new markets. With partners across Europe, Asia, and Africa, the goal is to provide naval solutions tailored to security forces, ensuring quality manufacturing and timely delivery. Aksum Marine's investment in research and development, particularly in high-density HDPE materials offering enhanced resistance to corrosion and impact, is a key asset.

With the Chaser 980 and Chaser 1200, Aksum Marine positions itself as a relevant player in the armored naval industry. These vessels, showcased at IDEX 2025, demonstrate the company’s technological expertise and its objective to meet the evolving needs of military and government operators.
