The MCAV-014 Alheda stands out for its mobility, allowing for rapid deployment in various operational environments. Its fire control system ensures precision in deploying its two main missiles, Alheda and Logir. The turret is designed for a full 360-degree azimuth rotation and a 45-degree elevation, enhancing its operational flexibility, especially with its remote firing mode.

Built on the MCAV-20 chassis, the MCAV0014 Alheda benefits from a solid and agile platform, ensuring effective navigation even in challenging terrains. The MCAV-20 chassis provides smooth maneuverability and advanced protection, allowing the Alheda launcher to quickly and accurately position itself to engage targets at various ranges.

Calidus' MCAV-20, first presented at the International Defense Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi in 2021, is an armored vehicle designed for high-level crew protection while maintaining exceptional mobility. Powered by a 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engine with 300 horsepower, it can reach speeds of up to 110 kilometers per hour and has a range of 800 kilometers. Its independent suspension system and robust armor, capable of withstanding small arms fire and artillery shrapnel, including a blast-proof underbody, make it ideal for challenging environments.

The versatility of the MCAV-20 extends to its armament capabilities, able to accommodate a 30mm cannon, a 7.62mm machine gun, and a 40mm grenade launcher. Adopted by the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Republican Guard of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the MCAV-20 reflects significant advancements in regional defense capabilities.

The Logir missile, an integral element of the MCAV-014 Alheda, features advanced characteristics such as an uncooled Imaging Infrared (IIR) seeker and a MEMS-based Inertial Navigation System (INS). Its two-stage guidance system, combining inertial navigation and image-based homing, allows for precise target engagement over a range of 8 km.

The Alheda missile, another key component, offers extended range and increased accuracy against both fixed and moving targets, with a range of 10 km. Its interchangeable warheads and guidance system options (SAL or IIR) make it a versatile choice for various combat scenarios.

Calidus continues to lead the design of these advanced weapon systems, reinforcing its position as a leader in defense technology. The presentation of the MCAV-014 Alheda at UMEX 2024 marks a new milestone in Calidus' journey.
