According a footage released on Twitter, December 10, 2017, the Caiman MTV was used by UAE Army during an offensive against Houthis in Western coast of Yemen with French-made main battle tank Leclerc and G-6 155mm wheeled self-propelled howitzer.

There is no official information about the number of vehicles delivered to UAE armed forces. The Caiman is 6x6 armoured personnel carrier in the category of MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicle designed and manufactured by the Company BAE Systems.

The Caiman MTV has performed first public demonstration to U.S. army leaders in February 2010. The vehicle was designed for multiple theaters of operation and, specifically, the end strength transition from Iraq to Afghanistan. The same year, BAE Systems received a contract from United States Army to convert 1,700 Caiman MRAP vehicles into the Caiman MTV.

The Caiman MTV is an enhanced version of the basic Caiman MRAP used by the U.S . armed forces during combat operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. The Caiman MTV integrates a refurbished and improved armored capsule from an existing Caiman with a new high-power automotive power train, chassis and independent suspension.
