Technical Data

  • Armament

The PARS ALPHA 8x8 is designed for scalable firepower integration. Its standard configuration features the TEBER-II 30/40 Remote-Controlled Turret developed by FNSS, armed with a 30mm dual-feed automatic cannon. This can be upgraded to a 40mm calibre by replacing key internal components, offering seamless lethality scaling. A coaxial 7.62mm chain gun supports secondary engagement.

The turret can be equipped with two ATGMs using SACLOS or ACLOS guidance, effective beyond 4 km, giving the platform long-range anti-armor capability. An Overhead Remote-Controlled Weapon Station (ORCWS) is mounted above the turret and supports 7.62mm or 5.56mm light machine guns. It serves as the commander’s independent sight and enables high-elevation fire for counter-UAV and rooftop targets.

At FEINDEF 2025, the 6x6 Fire Support variant was showcased with the Cockerill 3030 turret, armed with a Bushmaster Mk44 30mm automatic cannon, a coaxial 7.62mm MG, thermal and day/night sights, and two-axis stabilisation. This manned turret supports on-the-move firing, optional missile launchers, and future upgrades to 40mm.

The PARS ALPHA 8x8 chassis also supports heavier turrets with 90mm, 105mm, or 120mm guns, twin 120mm mortars, and short-range air defense systems using 35mm guns or missiles, making it one of the most adaptable firepower platforms in its class.

  • Design and protection

The PARS ALPHA 8x8 adopts a modular monocoque hull structure featuring a front-engine layout, a centralized crew compartment, and a rear troop section, all housed within a low-profile silhouette optimized for battlefield survivability. The engine compartment is located at the front left of the hull, enabling advanced protection schemes and clearing the right side for enhanced driver visibility. The powerpack is easily accessible for maintenance and replacement in field conditions, reinforcing operational readiness.

Immediately behind the engine sits the crew compartment, where the driver and commander are seated side-by-side, above the second axle. This unique configuration maximises frontal protection and creates a cohesive command interface for enhanced vehicle coordination. The vehicle’s centre section contains mission systems and turret modules depending on the variant, while the rear is dedicated to the dismount compartment, which can accommodate 6 to 8 infantry soldiers, depending on internal configuration and turret integration.

The troop compartment features blast-attenuating seats mounted to the sidewalls, providing increased underbelly protection against mines and IEDs. Troops enter and exit via a rear ramp or twin-door system, supported by optional roof hatches for rapid egress and emergency evacuation. The open architecture interior ensures compatibility with various mission kits and future technology upgrades.

In terms of protection, the PARS ALPHA introduces a revolutionary defensive architecture. The hull and structural layout offer high levels of ballistic resistance against kinetic energy (KE) projectiles, as well as advanced mine and IED protection beneath the vehicle. The V-shaped underbelly is engineered to deflect blast waves away from the crew and troop compartments, significantly enhancing survivability in asymmetric threat environments.

The crew positioning behind the powerpack adds another layer of security, particularly from frontal threats, while the low silhouette and optimized armor geometry reduce the vehicle’s thermal and radar signature. The frontal arc of the PARS ALPHA benefits from maximum armor thickness and sloped surfaces, offering superior kinetic and fragmentation protection.

With its adaptable design, integrated survivability systems, and emphasis on crew and troop protection, the PARS ALPHA 8x8 stands as a benchmark for the next generation of wheeled armored combat vehicles, capable of operating in both high-intensity conflict and rapid response missions.

  • Mobility

The PARS ALPHA is powered by a high-performance diesel engine that delivers over 700 horsepower. It is coupled to a fully automatic transmission and two-speed transfer case. This powerpack provides the vehicle with excellent on-road acceleration and high off-road endurance. The 8x8 drivetrain features all-wheel drive and all-axle steering, providing exceptional maneuverability in tight terrain and urban environments.

The independent hydro-pneumatic suspension allows variable ride height for improved obstacle clearance, while the chassis absorbs impacts and maintains stability at high speed. The PARS ALPHA can reach speeds over 115 km/h, has an operational range of over 800 km, and can complete over 5,000 km without field-level maintenance. It can traverse 70% gradients, 40% side slopes, 0.8 m vertical obstacles, and 2.4 m wide trenches.

  • Combat Equipment

The PARS ALPHA 8x8 is fitted with a digital fire control system that integrates seamlessly with both turret and ORCWS, enabling hunter-killer and multi-target engagement modes. The system is stabilised along two axes and includes thermal sights, day/night optics, and panoramic displays for both the commander and gunner. These systems allow full closed-hatch operation in combat and urban environments.

The vehicle is equipped with a 360-degree situational awareness system composed of high-resolution day/night cameras and digital interfaces, supporting driver visibility and troop monitoring. Integrated GPS/INS navigation, digital BMS compatibility, crew intercoms, and VHF/UHF radios provide full battlefield connectivity.

The PARS ALPHA incorporates a positive pressure and face mask CBRN defence system, creating a fully sealed interior environment that protects occupants from toxic agents and environmental contaminants. This ensures the crew can maintain operational effectiveness in contaminated or chemically hazardous areas.

Furthermore, a gunshot detection system, laser warning receivers, and provisions for soft-kill and hard-kill active protection systems are available for enhanced threat detection and countermeasure deployment. These systems are modular and can be tailored to user-specific operational needs, further increasing survivability in contested environments.
