Description

The HAVOC is a project of APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier) for the United States Marine Corps which is based on the technology of Patria AMV 8x8 vehicle, which has already been delivered to 6 countries in the world some of which deployed the vehicle for Afghanistan operations. The United States Marine Corps is preparing to acquire a new fleet of wheeled armored vehicles to meet the attributes and metrics of the Marine Personnel Carrier (MPC) requirement. There are two competitors for the MPC program, IVECO Defence Vehicles teamed with BAE Systems Global Combat Systems, offering its SUPERAV 8x8 amphibious armored personnel carrier and Lockheed Martin teamed up with Patria to offer the Patria AMV. The Havoc is multi-mission expeditionary ground combat vehicle with many improvements based on the request of United States Marine Corps.

Variants
The MPC family of vehicles will consist of a basic vehicle and two role-specific variants.
- APC: armoured personnel carrier which carry 8-9 combat-equipped marines and a two-man crew.
- Command post: will be equipped to serve as a mobile command-echelon/ fire-support coordination center for the infantry battalion headquarters.
- Recovery: maintenance and recovery variant of the MPC vehicle.
