Its presence at MSPO points to a broader European shift toward integrated capabilities that combine physical protection, counter-UAS defense, distributed firepower and secure command networks.

At MSPO 2026, ST Engineering is showcasing the Terrex s5 hybrid infantry fighting vehicle, Bronco All-Terrain Tracked Carrier, M-UMT Operating System, AGIL Counter-Drone Suite, Littoral Mission Vessel, Fearless-class offshore patrol vessel and Defence AI Cybersecurity Ecosystem. The breadth of the display reflects the company’s effort to expand its European presence at a time when armed forces are accelerating investment in protected mobility, drone defense, autonomous systems, naval modernization and cyber resilience.

One of the main land warfare exhibits is the Terrex s5 HED infantry fighting vehicle, presented in Europe for the first time. Its hybrid-electric drive and digital architecture are designed to support silent watch, onboard electrical power generation and the integration of future sensors, mission systems and other electrically demanding equipment. Hybrid-electric propulsion can provide an operational advantage during reconnaissance, surveillance and defensive missions by allowing crews to power onboard systems with a reduced acoustic and thermal signature, while the vehicle’s digital architecture is intended to simplify the addition of active protection systems, electronic warfare equipment, unmanned-system controls and advanced sensors as battlefield requirements evolve.

ST Engineering is also presenting the Bronco All-Terrain Tracked Carrier, a highly mobile tracked vehicle developed for operations over terrain where conventional wheeled vehicles can face mobility limitations. At MSPO, the company is displaying an Austrian configuration developed with ESLAIT and EMPL, while other variants have been adapted for European requirements, including Italy and Finland. Its tracked mobility and configurable mission layout make the Bronco suitable for personnel transport, logistics, command, medical evacuation and specialist support missions, with particular relevance for northern and eastern European operations where snow, mud, marshland and poor road infrastructure can restrict maneuver and resupply.

Unmanned warfare is another major focus, with ST Engineering presenting its M-UMT Operating System, known as MUMTOS, as a way to bring different unmanned systems into a common operating environment. Rather than requiring operators to work through multiple separate control interfaces, MUMTOS is intended to improve coordination, situational awareness, and decision speed across unmanned aerial and ground systems. This type of integration is becoming increasingly important as armed forces field larger numbers of robotic systems alongside crewed formations and seek to reduce the command burden associated with controlling multiple sensors and unmanned assets during fast-moving operations.

The company is pairing MUMTOS with its AGIL Counter-Drone Suite, which combines sensors with AI-enabled command-and-control functions to detect, track and support responses against hostile unmanned aerial vehicles. Counter-drone capability has become a critical force-protection requirement, as recent conflicts have shown low-cost drones can conduct reconnaissance, targeting, and direct attacks against armored vehicles, artillery, logistics nodes, and command posts. ST Engineering said AGIL secured its first deployments in Asia earlier in 2026, giving the system an operational reference as the company seeks to address European demand for faster detection, automated sensor fusion and coordinated responses to increasingly numerous and sophisticated aerial threats.

For maritime forces, ST Engineering is displaying its 80-meter Littoral Mission Vessel, designed for flexible operations in coastal and confined waters where rapid response, adaptability and the integration of unmanned systems are increasingly important. The vessel is designed to deploy and operate unmanned surface vessels, unmanned aerial vehicles and future autonomous systems, allowing a navy to extend surveillance and reconnaissance coverage while reducing the need to expose the crewed ship to unnecessary risk. These characteristics are particularly relevant to environments such as the Baltic Sea, where short engagement distances, dense sensor coverage and persistent missile, air and unmanned threats increase the value of distributed maritime operations.

Alongside the Littoral Mission Vessel, ST Engineering is showcasing its 75-meter Fearless-class offshore patrol vessel, designed for maritime security and multi-role missions with a configurable combat system and scalable design. The ship can be adapted with different sensor, weapon, and command-system combinations according to national requirements, giving operators the possibility to perform routine patrol and security missions while retaining growth potential for more demanding operational environments. Together, the two vessel designs highlight ST Engineering’s shipbuilding and systems-integration capabilities as European navies seek ships that can operate with autonomous systems, contribute to distributed forces, and evolve through successive technology upgrades.

Cyber defense forms the fourth major capability area of ST Engineering’s MSPO 2026 presentation. The Defense AI Cybersecurity Ecosystem combines threat-detection, response and security capabilities intended to protect conventional digital infrastructure as well as emerging artificial intelligence environments. This requirement is becoming increasingly important as armed forces rely more heavily on cloud-based command networks, connected sensors, AI-enabled decision tools and digital logistics systems, creating additional points that adversaries can target to disrupt communications, degrade situational awareness or interfere with command-and-control processes.

ST Engineering is also emphasizing cyber wargaming and readiness programs designed to expose organizations to realistic attack scenarios before they face them during actual operations. Such exercises can identify weaknesses in procedures, technical defenses, and decision-making while improving the ability of commanders and cyber teams to maintain essential functions during an attack. For modern armed forces, cyber resilience is directly connected to combat effectiveness because weapons, sensors, logistics networks, and command systems increasingly depend on secure, uninterrupted data flows, meaning a successful cyber intrusion can reduce operational tempo and coordination even when physical combat systems remain intact.

Taken together, ST Engineering’s MSPO 2026 display shows how the company is positioning its capabilities around several of the requirements now driving European defense modernization. The Terrex s5 and Bronco address protected mobility and difficult-terrain operations, MUMTOS and AGIL respond to the rapid expansion of unmanned warfare, the Littoral Mission Vessel and Fearless-class offshore patrol vessel target evolving maritime requirements, while the Defense AI Cybersecurity Ecosystem addresses the growing dependence of military operations on resilient digital networks.

The company’s European strategy also emphasizes adapting existing systems to national requirements and working with local industrial partners, as illustrated by the Austrian Bronco configuration. For European armed forces seeking faster access to mature equipment while retaining domestic participation, local support and future upgrade potential, this approach could strengthen ST Engineering’s position in upcoming modernization programs and broaden its role in a defense market increasingly focused on readiness, interoperability and the ability to adapt quickly to new operational threats.
