The Russian Public Prosecution Service will scrutinize the promptitude of the military-industrial complex replacement of components and materials manufactured by NATO countries and Ukraine as part of the import substitution policy, Russian First Deputy Prosecutor General Alexander Buksman said at an extended meeting of the service to summarize the results of the first half of 2019.

American Company Raytheon is upgrading Germany's Patriot Integrated Air and Missile Defense System to the most current configuration, the PAC-3 MSE under a $105.5 million direct commercial sales contract from the NATO Support and Procurement Agency. The contract award was first announced on Raytheon's earnings call on July 25th, 2019.

Soldiers from various parts of the world have begun exercise Agile Spirit 19 with their host nation of Georgia on July 28, 2019. Co-led by Georgian Defence Forces (GDF) and U.S. Army Europe, this joint and multinational exercise supports 14 ally and partner nations consisting of approximately 3,300 military personnel. Pvt. On July 23, 2019, U.S. soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 122 Field Artillery, Illinois Army National Guard, tested the Hawkeye 105mm mobile artillery system, as part of Exercise Northern Strike 19, one of the largest reserve component exercises. This event is hosted annually at Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center and Aleena Combat Readiness Training Center, as well as over the skies of northern Michigan and Lake Huron.

The Russian Defense Ministry is upgrading the overhaul of faulty hardware. Special overhaul and evacuation regiments are being created, the ministry told the Izvestia daily. The new units are equipped with mobile overhaul workshops and heavy prime movers. They have a modular scheme and receive tools and evacuators according to the set task. The regiments can revive damaged vehicles hundreds of kilometers from the deployment base.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu for the delivery of BRDM-2 combat reconnaissance and patrol vehicles to Belgrade. Overall, 10 armored vehicles are due to arrive, the Serbian leader told reporters.

The Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) has commissioned Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) to supply a total of nine Mungo N/C Recce reconnaissance systems. In addition to supplying the vehicles, the contract encompasses spare parts packages and the training of crew and maintenance personnel. All nine vehicles will be delivered by the end of 2022.
