Venezuela has received a second batch of 13 Russian-made BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles.
 

Armed forces in Venezuela have received a new batch of Russian amphibious combat vehicles, the Moscow-based Center for Analysis of Global Arms Trade said on Thursday, March 28, 2013. Thirteen BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles were delivered by sea to the port of Puerto Cabello, the center said. This marks the first report of an arms delivery by sea to Venezuela since the death of President Hugo Chavez in March.

Turkish Company BMC delayed delivery of Kirpi armoured vehicles due to financial problems

Sierra Nevada Corporation delivers first Mobile Tower System MOTS to the United States Army
 

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) has delivered the first Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Mobile Tower System (MOTS) to the United States Army ahead of schedule. The LRIP contract was awarded in March 2012 for 10 MOTS. An early development MOTS has been deployed with the 3rd Infantry Division in Afghanistan since November 2012.

Alaska State Troopers purchase three Lenco BearCats 4x4 armoured vehicles
 

The Alaska State Troopers recently purchased three $286,000 Lenco BearCats, an unarmed military-style vehicle that’s been on the agency’s wish list for more than a decade. Of the three, one will be assigned to the Fairbanks-based Special Emergency Response Team, according to Capt. Randy Hahn, statewide SERT operations officer.

Defence Industry of Pakistan HIT will unveiled the new MRAP Burraq in the next few months
 

A spokesperson for Pakistan’s state-owned vehicle manufacturer, Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT), has confirmed that its Burraq mine-resistant, ambush-protected (MRAP) vehicle is nearing the end of its prototype phase and will be unveiled in “three to four months.” The announcement comes after years of development and failed efforts to acquire such a vehicle from other sources.

Nepal organizes international peacekeeping training Peace Efforts 2 in Kathmandu and Panchkhal
 

Nepal's national army will organize an international peacekeeping training "Peace Efforts 2" in Kathmandu and Panchkhal, a military training centre some 50 km north of the capital from March 25 to April 7. The training will boost up capacity of the countries which have been participating in the peacekeeping efforts of the United Nations across the world, according to army sources on Monday, March 19, 2013.

China defence industry enters in the top 5 of the biggest arms and military equipment exporters
 

The volume of international transfers of major conventional weapons was 17 per cent higher in the period 2008–12 than in 2003–2007 (see figure 1). The five biggest exporters in the period 2008–12 were the United States, Russia, Germany, France and China. This is the first time since the end of the cold war that a state from outside Europe and North America has appeared among the five largest arms exporters.

Czech Republic to send 34 soldiers to join French military operations in Mali
 

The Czech Republic sent a group of 34 military servicemen to Mali to join a military operation against Islamist militants in the north of the country, Czech news agency CTK reported. The senate of the Czech Republic voted on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, to send a contingent of 50 military servicemen to Mali for the term of 15 months. Their mission will officially begin in April.

On March 11, Xi urged the country's armed forces to be "absolutely loyal" to the Communist Party of China, sharpen fighting capacity and abide by disciplines as he joined a plenary meeting of a delegation from the People's Liberation Army (PLA).

Syrian army is preparing to use chemical weapons against rebels said Israel military intelligence
 

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen confirmed on Friday, December 21, 2012, that the Syrian government forces were continuing to launch Scud missiles within the last few days."I can confirm that we have detected the launch of Scud-type missiles.
