The First Responder Respirator (FRR) is a new generation mask developed from the General Service Respirator (GSR). The GSR have been selected by UK armed forces for the UK Ministery of Defence General Service Respirator Program. GSR is not an upgrade to an existing design; it is a completly new system based on a revolutionary suite of technologies. The FRR is the a new version of GSR adapted for civilian use.

In order to fulfill critical zone air defense purposes, the HISAR-A Low and Medium Altitude Air Defense Missile Systems is especially designed to destroy all type of aerial threats at low-medium altitude as helicopters, fighter, UAVs, cruise missile and air-to-surface missiles.

At IDEF 2015, which is held in Istanbul from 5-8 May, Italian company Oto Melara is showcasing for the first time the new 20mm Gunship for which commercial contacts with the Turkish aeronautic company TAI have already started. Gunship by Oto Melara is a palletized air-to-ground gun system, designed to be operated from military cargo aircraft, such as C130s (all versions), C27s or any other which has a standard military pallet (88’x108’) capability.

During IDEF 2015 defence exhibition, a new version of Aselsan's Igla-Missile Launching System is presented on Aselsan's booth. Igla-Missile Launching System is a fully automated very short range air defence weapon system using IGLA(S) missiles. The version presented at IDEF 2015 is fitted with what is reported as a 20kW laser weapon systems.

TAI (Turkish Aerospace Industries) is in talks with several countries to sell its T129 attack helicopter, co-produced with Finmeccanica unit AgustaWestland. Turkey has deployed for the first time its home-made combat helicopter T129 ATAK for combat operation to support counter terrorism missions against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

This year Otokar is exhibiting its ARMA 8x8 Chemical Biological Radiation and Nuclear (CBRN) Reconnaissance Vehicle for the first time at IDEF. Otokar built its first CBRN reconnaissance vehicle on the COBRA in Turkey in 2008 and offered it to the use of the Slovenian army, and went on to add ARMA 6x6 reconnaissance vehicle to its product range in 2011. This year the company takes its experience in CBRN sub-systems and vehicle integration to ARMA 8x8.
