WDS 2022: Belgian company Sky-Hero showcases Sigyn MkI sUAGV and Loki MkII sUAV for indoor environments

Since 2013, Sky-Hero has been providing innovative tactical unmanned vehicles (sUAV/-sUAGV) for challenging indoor environments. Its products are designed to meet the growing operational needs of law enforcement and security forces around the world. Presented hereunder, the Loki MkII is the most incredible indoor small tactical UAV system in the world, fully purpose-built for close quarters, under roof, tactical scouting missions. And it is deployed by 1000+ tactical teams worldwide on multiple fields of operations.

Sky-Hero is a company of high-level engineers and professionals that uses its depth of robotic and unmanned vehicles expertise to equip law enforcement and security forces with the most appropriate system to their most pressing challenges.

Among the sUAVs and sUAGVs for indoor environments showcased and even dynamically demonstrated at the World Defense Show 2022 is the Sigyn Mk.I sUGV reconnaissance system which is a rugged, simple-to-use, throwable ground device designed to deliver support for indoor operations in difficult-to-access and hazardous places. This light micro unmanned rover is designed to be thrown were needed to explore and relay intel. Designed and made in Europe with top-in-class materials, this little robot will sustain heavy use and deliver reliable audio/video situational awareness. Sky-Hero Odyssy compatible sUGV provides the operator with front and back wide-angle low light cameras, eight controllable IR LEDs and a payload connection system to execute complex tactical missions from a safe stand-off distance, in any light conditions.

Its main skeleton is made of aviation-grade carbon fiber and reinforced polycarbonate frames. An embedded inertial motion sensor allows smart drive modes and automatic forward-facing camera selection. It uses market-standard batteries, swapped within 30 seconds This light micro unmanned rover is designed to be thrown were needed to explore and relay intel.

Advantages:
* Embedded 6-axis accelerometer and gyroscope offering the pilot with multiple assisted driving modes
* Good shock resistance due to his lightweight design and rugged construction. Can be dropped in a basement, thrown onto a roof or fall downstairs as it sustains falls up to 6m | 19,6 ft
* Symmetrical design and oversized wheels, allowing the ground robot to negotiate small obstacles, turn in place at a high degree of precision CW/CCW and never be knocked over
* High situational awareness thanks to dual night/day camera with a 150° angle of view
* Analog A/V signal, scrambled via FPGA, which prevents lag or screen freezes
* Dimmable and selectable IR LEDs on front, back and top providing excellent video clarity and NVGs lighting without typical snowflake effect
* Controlled by a multi-sUV Ground Controller, GCS MkII, allowing an operator to select from across until 4 connected unmanned vehicles.

Another state-of-the-art system is the Loki Mk.II sUAV Recon System, a ruggedized small tactical quadcopter designed for short-range reconnaissance in dark indoor obstacle-rich environments and GPS-denied areas. The Loki Mk.II is the most incredible indoor small tactical UAV system in the world, fully purpose-built for close quarters, under roof, tactical scouting missions. It is deployed by 1000+ tactical teams worldwide on multiple fields of operations.

Operating in a congested and dark environment, its purpose is to place a microphone and a camera practically anywhere to collect critical life-saving intelligence of immediate threats ahead of a team.

The body structure is made of impact-resistant polycarbonate, based on a high-pressure mold injection process. Features:
* Forward-facing ultra low light, day/night camera with 150° wide-angle field of view, without fisheye.
* GPS-like position hold using complex algorithms based on advanced computer vision.

Key advantages:
• Rapid deployment design allowing for hand-thrown take-off, and precise assisted landing
• Optimized modes for indoor operations, such as Floor (rover style) , Turtle (smart directional flip) …
• Precise 3D position hold without GPS, even in total darkness
• Self-generated independent communication networks offering complete cybersecurity
• Intuitive and simplified piloting using automatic altitude hold & speed control functions
• Analog audio/video signal, scrambled via FPGA, which prevents lag or screen freezes
• Dimmable and selectable IR LEDs on front and bottom providing flight stability, video clarity NVGs lighting without typical snowflake effect
• Complete telemetry data, performance indicators for sensors, and estimated remaining flight time on pocket-fit multi-sUV Ground Controller display.
