AutoKrAZ of Ukraine to unveil new product KrAZ-Fiona 6x6 armoured vehicle personnel carrier.
The Ukrainian Defense Company AutoKrAZ has unveiled a new product, the KrAZ- Fiona, a 6x6 armoured vehicle personnel carrier. The KrAZ-6322 Fiona vehicle has been manufactured by Kremenchug Automobile Plant in partnership with Streit Group (Canada-UAE).

The Fiona is a 6x6 APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier) designed and manufactured by the Ukrainian Defense Company AutoKrAZ and UAE-based Company Streit Group.

The Fiona APC was unveiled for the first at the International Defense Exhibition IDEX in February 2015. Thus Fiona is a high performance, low life cycle cost, next generation, armoured vehicle that is not only designed for current global situations, but also for any future missions.

The Streit Group KrAZ Fiona APC is based on the 6x6 KrAZ-6322 all-terrain truck chassis, with two wheels at the front and four wheels at the rear. The vehicle is motorized with a YAMZ-238D 14.86 liter V8 diesel engine producing 330 hp. coupled to a YAMZ 8 speed manual split transmission, which is switchable between high and low ratios to make easy work on all terrain. Included in a feature is a split low and range reverse gear, which insures the driver is in complete control which ever direction the vehicle is heading.

The vehicle is fully armored, it is designed to protect occupants against ballistic threats from any angle. All the vehicle components have been modified to support the weight of armoring.

The hull of the Fiona provides a protection against firing of small arms STANAG 4569 Level 3 (7.62 x 51 AP (WC core) at 30 meters with 930 m/s). The vehicle provides also a protection against mine blast.
