Lithuania's Minister of Defense, Arvydas Anusauskas, announced on Twitter that the PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers that have been repaired in Lithuania after battle damage, are already returning to Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

Lithuania's Minister of Defense Arvydas Anusauskas earlier tweeted that Lithuania would supply Ukraine's Armed Forces with winter clothes and equipment, allocate additional funds for next year's material support, and provide 120 mm mortars on platform 113, armored cars, thermal imagers, drones, etc. According to him, after the delivery of this batch of aid, Lithuania's total military aid to Ukraine will reach EUR 230 million.

Germany and The Netherlands have delivered several PzH2000 self-propelled howitzers to the Ukrainian army: last July, the German government approved the sale of 100 self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine worth 1.7 billion euros ($1.72 billion). German Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck reportedly approved Ukraine’s request for the Panzerhaubitze 2000 howitzers on July 13 after receiving it in April. Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) had already begun manufacturing the howitzers, which have a range of 30-60 kilometers (18.5-37 miles) depending upon the ammunition type selected. Full delivery of these artillery systems is expected to take several years.

A tweet posted on September 16 by the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense already stated that Ukrainian self-propelled howitzers with battlefield damages were on their way to Lithuania, where they would be repaired.
