In 2023, the company witnessed an increase in the production of buses and trucks, attributable to the government programs "schoolbus" and "5-7-9," which offer affordable loans. As reported by Oleksandr Dorosh, Cherkasy Bus manufactured nearly 500 buses and 350 trucks in 2023. Thanks to the "localization" law and government initiatives, the company managed to achieve a 20% production increase for the year, approaching pre-war production levels.

Ataman is now planning to assemble another type of vehicle in Cherkasy in collaboration with Isuzu, specifically pickup trucks that are in high demand by the Defense Forces. These pickups will be Isuzu D-Max models, which are already available in the Ukrainian market.

In 2021, the National Police of Ukraine received a shipment of specialized vehicles based on Isuzu D-Max pickups. The adaptation of these all-wheel-drive vehicles for police use was carried out by a specialized Ukrainian company.

The Isuzu vehicle is equipped with a 1.9-liter turbodiesel engine capable of producing 163hp. The four-wheel-drive system can be engaged at speeds of up to 100 km/h. It's worth noting that Ukraine is currently testing technology involving special inserts that would enable military pickups to continue moving even with damaged tires.
