The company is known for its expertise in areas such as naval platforms, tactical mini-UAV systems, and cyber security. Under the guidance of the Turkish Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), STM has been meeting domestic defense needs and exporting its experience to friendly nations through cooperation and technology transfer agreements.
At LIMA 2023, STM is presenting mock-ups of various naval platforms, including Türkiye's first national corvette project (the Ada Class MILGEM), Türkiye's first national frigate (the İstif Class Frigate), Pakistan Navy Fleet Tanker, STM-MPAC Multi-Purpose Attack Craft, the Coast Guard Ship CG-3100, and the STM500, a small-sized submarine designed using national resources.
STM aligns its production with NATO standards and collaborates with over 20 countries worldwide, providing engineering solutions for surface and submarine platforms.
The company exports the systems used by the Turkish Navy, offering quality, affordable, and modern engineering solutions. They also provide long-term service support and indigenously developed weapon systems, making their products and capabilities accessible to navies facing potential embargoes.
STM has been preferred by naval forces from Pakistan to Ukraine, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, technical support, and knowledge transfer. They are involved in the construction of a corvette for the Ukrainian Navy, delivered the Fleet Tanker PNS MOAWIN to the Pakistan Navy, and are leading the modernization of Pakistan's Agosta 90B Khalid-Class submarines.
The company has gained the trust of the Pakistan Navy through successful project deliveries and is currently involved in the construction of four Ada-Class Corvettes being built by Türkiye for Pakistan.
In Türkiye, STM plays a significant role in naval projects such as the construction of the MILGEM Ada-Class Corvettes and the first national frigate, TCG ISTANBUL. They have also delivered test and training ships and logistic support ships to the Turkish Naval Forces.
Additionally, STM is engaged in submarine modernization and construction projects for the Turkish Navy, including the modernization of Ay-Class and Preveze-Class Submarines and the New-Type Submarine Project (Type-214) with an Air Independent Propulsion System.
The company's small submarine, the STM500, has garnered attention worldwide for its capabilities.
