The promising vessel will have a sharp V-shaped bow, which will allow it to sail through ice in polar areas. It will also have a new, unusual design. According to the mockup, it will be able to accommodate containers with cargo on board, as well as medical evacuation vehicles and helicopters, with four special sites in the stern for takeoff and landing. Cargo and vehicles will be placed on the lower decks.

At the same time, a model of another hospital vessel of a similar but different design is on display at the stand. In 2021, TASS reported with reference to the Nevskoe Design Bureau that the standardized platform, which, according to the developers, was the basis for the Varan-type light aircraft carrier and a versatile amphibious assault ship developed by the design bureau, could also serve as a basis for a hospital vessel and a support ship for the Arctic.

The Army 2022 international military-technical forum is running on August 15-21 at the Patriot exhibition center outside Moscow. The Defense Ministry is the organizer of the forum.
