These vehicles, based on the Toyota Land Cruiser J79, have been adapted for use as ambulances. With a 4.0-liter V6 engine producing 250 horsepower, these ambulances are equipped to navigate challenging off-road conditions. Their medical equipment includes oxygen cylinders, heart monitors, defibrillators, electrocardiographs, and ventilators, enabling a wide range of emergency interventions.

These ambulances have been distributed to different regions of Ukraine, with a particular focus on areas most affected by the ongoing conflict. They are intended to enhance the capacity for emergency medical response in challenging conditions.

This initiative is part of a series of efforts to strengthen emergency services in Ukraine, including the provision of resources and equipment tailored to the challenges of the current context. Since the onset of the crisis, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been providing urgent relief supplies to those affected in Ukraine, including a contribution of USD 100 million to support Ukrainian civilians. An air bridge operation was also initiated, involving the dispatch of 12 aircraft carrying approximately 714 tonnes of relief supplies, basic food items, medical materials, 2,520 generators, 33 ambulances, 2,500 laptops, and 10,000 school bags. Furthermore, the UAE dispatched a ship carrying 250 tonnes of relief supplies, encompassing blankets, personal necessities, and lamps, to Poland and Romania for subsequent transportation into Ukrainian territory.

The country also conducted airlifts of relief supplies to assist Ukrainian refugees in neighboring nations such as Poland, Moldova, and Bulgaria. This action reflects international collaboration aimed at supporting Ukraine in managing the consequences of the conflict and strengthening its emergency healthcare system.
